The More I See
Complete the tutorials
It is widely known that this trophy can not be obtained by using the Rock Band/ Rock Band 2 instruments because the drum controller doesn’t
have the correct amount of pads. The trophy is only obtainable through the use of the Guitar Hero World Tour drum peripheral. The actual tutorials
once you have the correct instruments are easy and shouldn’t take more than half an hour to complete.
James Hetfield
Complete the career as the vocalist
This is the career nobody really likes doing especially when there are other people in your house but if you’re going for the platinum you’ll have to
swallow your pride and get it out of the way. You need to get 72 stars (a minimum of 15 songs) to unlock the final venue which is The Ice Cave. Here you
play The Thing That Should Not Be and once you have completed that the trophy is yours. The vocals career is extremely easy on beginner, which I’ll admit is
the difficulty I did it on and you should be able to 5 star most songs, especially the ones near the start.
Lars Ulrich
Complete the career as the drummer
In my opinion the drums on Guitar Hero World Tour were rather dull and repetitive but on Guitar Hero Metallica playing the drums is fantastic. The mixture of
beats and fills is perfect and really fun to play. You need to get 72 stars (a minimum of 15 songs) to unlock the final venue which is The Ice Cave. Here you
play The Thing That Should Not Be and once you have completed that the trophy is yours. I did this career on hard but some songs near the end are extremely
fast and intricate so if need be just do the earlier, easier songs to get up to 72 songs.
Kirk Hammett
Complete the career as the guitarist
Ah now we come to the main reason people play guitar hero, the guitar career, and I feel they couldn’t have chosen a better band than Metallica to base this
game around. Kirk Hammett’s guitar playing is up there with the greatest guitarists of all time and with solos like the ones in “One” “Master of Puppets” and
“Fade to Black” this, in my opinion, is the greatest guitar career in any guitar hero game yet. You need to get 72 stars (a minimum of 15 songs) to unlock
the final venue which is The Ice Cave. Here you play The Thing That Should Not Be and once you have completed that the trophy is yours. Again I did this on
hard but it isn’t that difficult on expert because you can just play the earlier songs in the career to get 72 stars and The Thing That Should Not Be is
easy itself.
Robert Trujillo
Complete the career as the bassist
The unsung hero in many bands, but a band simply wouldn’t work without a bassist. In this game, the bass is generally ridiculously fast especially towards
the end of the game in songs such as “Fight Fire With Fire” and “War Ensemble”. You need to get 72 stars (a minimum of 15 songs) to unlock the final venue
which is The Ice Cave. Here you play The Thing That Should Not Be and once you have completed that the trophy is yours. This was the career I did on expert
but I steered clear of the insanely fast songs near the end and stuck to the earlier tracks until I had 72 stars.
One
Complete a song with any instrument on Hard or Expert in local Quickplay or Career
Easy trophy this one. Just pick any instrument, any song and finish on hard or expert difficulty. Not much to say about it really but if you want to get this
and you’re in a hurry do it on either “Toxicity” by System of a Down or “Stone Cold Crazy” by Queen because they’re short and fairly easy.
Damage Inc.
Perform as the drummer
Another easy trophy just complete any song on any difficulty on drums.
Motorbreath
Perform as the vocalist
Another easy trophy just complete any song on any difficulty on vocals.
Invisible Kid
Perform as the bassist
Another easy trophy just complete any song on any difficulty on bass.

Perform as the guitarist
Another easy trophy just complete any song on any difficulty on guitar.
Ride the Lightning
All band members trigger star power simultaneously (4 player band)
Wait until all 6 lights on the rock meter are full then all members activate star power, an easy trophy. If you’re having trouble getting the star power put
the difficulty down to easy. This can be done locally and online.
2 x 4
Earn a band Hot Streak (4 player band)
As with the other band trophies this can be done locally or online. To get a hot streak everyone in the band needs to hit all their notes without missing
any for a certain amount of time depending on the song. Again, if you are finding it difficult put the difficulty down.
Master of Puppets
Earn the highest individual score on a song in a band (4 player band)
There is a slight difference between doing this online and doing it locally with friends. If you are doing it online you just need to make sure you get the
highest score out of the 4 band members. However, if you are doing it locally, it needs to be the band leader that gets the highest score for the trophy to
be awarded. In this case it is best to make the guitarist the band leader as they get the most points, also put the guitarist on a higher difficulty level
than the other instruments as this will earn them more points.
The Struggle Within
Complete a song in a band in Quickplay or Career (4 players)
Not much to say about this one again except that you must complete the song and it doesn’t matter what difficulty you do it on. It can be done locally or
online.
The Four Horsemen
Complete a song with all band members on expert in Quickplay or Career (4 player band)
This can be difficult but as long as you have 4 competent players it shouldn’t cause you too much hassle. I found that the easiest song to do it on was
“Nothing Else Matters because it is slow and the vocals aren’t too difficult.
Black
Win an online battle match with the Fade to Black power up
This is an annoying trophy because the game doesn’t exactly throw these power ups away like confetti. After 5 songs of trying to get this with a friend he
got it twice and I didn’t get it at all. But once you do get it the trophy is easy, all you have to do is get the other person to strum really fast without
holding down any frets so that they fail. If the power up runs out before the other player has had a chance to fail it doesn’t matter. As long as they fail
before you use another power up on them you will get the trophy.
Better Than You
Win an online Pro Face-Off match
This is easily done as long as you have a friend willing to boost with you. The Pro Face-Off is the game mode where you both play the entire song instead
of alternate parts. When getting this trophy you may aswell combine it with The Unforgiven III which is to win by 25000 points or more.
Blitzkrieg
Win an online Band v Band match (8 players)
If you are lucky enough to have 7 friends who have this game then this will be easy but if not, you will either have to search until you find one, or
set one up with other people on this site. Unfortunately, you don’t just have to complete an 8 player match but you have to win it, which means setting
one up is your best option here.
Seek & Destroy
Play 20 online matches
Easy trophy. You don’t have to win the matches just finish them so this trophy will come quickly and easily.
The Unforgiven
Win an online Face-Off match
This is easily done as long as you have a friend willing to boost with you. The Face-Off is the game mode where you both play alternate parts of a song
instead of playing the whole song. When getting this trophy you may aswell combine it with The Unforgiven II which is to win by 25000 points or more.

Probably the easiest trophy on the game. Just head online and go on to GHTunes and download any song, you don’t even have to play it. I got the MGS tune
which is pretty good to play anyway.

Recover from a poor performance in Quickplay or Career
Go on easy mode and strum really fast until your highway is flashing red. Then just hit your notes so you’re back in green and then finish the song. Another
very easy trophy.
Disposable Heroes
Create a new custom rocker
Just create a new character from the VIP lounge. This is the first of 4 easy trophies that can be done in 10 minutes.
Blackened
Create a new custom tattoo
When creating a character just go on to “Body” then “Tattoos” and from there choose any part of the body and just mess around with the editing tools,
they’re actually pretty in depth.
Eye of the Beholder
Create a new custom band logo
From your career menu, head to “Band Info” then press triangle to edit your logo and again, mess around with the editing tools.
Fixxxer
Create a new custom instrument
When editing a rocker go down to instrument, choose either guitar, drums or mic and there is a wide array of options to customise your instrument. Once done
save it and you have 4 very easy trophies for not really doing anything.
Hero of the Day
Complete a song on Expert + in Quickplay or Career (drums only)
If like me you had this game brought in from the US and don’t have a second bass pedal this trophy is frustrating and quite difficult. It is however possible
and the only song I could do it on was “Wherever I May Roam”. The double bass pedal isn’t used that much but save your star power until the end because
there are some bass drum rolls which can’t be done without 2 pedals. (unless you have some kind of magic foot)
The House Jack Built
Complete a song in every In-the-Round venue
This is all of the Career venues excluding The Ice Cave. The venues are The Forum, Tushino Air Field, Hammersmith Apollo, Damaged Justice Tour, The
Meadowlands and Donington Park. I’m not sure whether Metallica at Tushino counts as a seperate venue.
Wherever I May Roam
Complete a song in every venue
In additon to the ones mentioned in “The House Jack Built” you now have to play in The Ice Cave, The Stone, Backstage and Recording Studio. To access the
last 3 just choose to play any song you have already done and then select them when asked where to play.
Trapped Under Ice
Complete a song at the Ice Cave venue
This is the final venue in the career where you play The Thing That Should Not Be. Just complete that and the trophy is yours.
Stone Dead Forever
Complete a song at The Stone venue
You unlock this venue when you complete any of the careers and to play there just choose any song you’ve already completed and pick The Stone from the list
of venues.
King Diamond
Rock out as King Diamond
King Diamond is Mercyful Fate’s lead singer and you can buy him once you complete the song Evil by Mercyful Fate. Once that song is completed go to select
rocker and you can buy him for $2000. Be careful that when you choose him as your rocker, make sure to do a song not by Metallica or you will play as a
Metallica band member not King Diamond. He doesn’t have to be on vocals he can play any instrument.
Lemmy
Rock out as Lemmy
Lemmy is Motorhead’s bassist and you can buy him once you complete the song Ace of Spades by Motorhead. Once that song is completed go to select
rocker and you can buy him for $2000. Be careful that when you choose him as your rocker, make sure to do a song not by Metallica or you will play as a
Metallica band member not Lemmy. He doesn’t have to be on bass he can play any instrument.
The Memory Remains

To view a Metallifacts video go to your career and press triangle on any song you have completed. Choose Metallifacts and make sure to watch it right
through to the end or you won’t get the trophy.
Astronomy
Hit every star phrase in the song Orion
This is easy on hard guitar but if you can’t do it change the difficulty and the instrument to whatever suits you best. Just keep concentrating as it’s
quite a long song and missing the last star phrase is very frustrating.

Metallica
Complete any instrument career on Expert (Guitar, Bass, Vocals, Drums or Band)
Probably the easiest to do this on is the bass but it varies from person to person. If you can’t do the songs later in the game, don’t worry just play the
easier songs in the earlier venues until you have 72 stars because The Thing That Should Not Be is an easy song on all instruments anyway.
…And Justice For All
Earn 100 stars in Band Career or any single instrument Career
At 100 stars you earn the right to buy the Metallica member for that career Bass= Rob Trujillo Vocals= James Hetfield Guitar= Kirk Hammett
Drums= Lars Ulrich As for actually getting the stars, on your favourite difficulty you should be averaging at least 4 stars a song so that’s 25 songs, easy.
The Ecstasy of Gold
Earn $15,000
Another easy Silver, if you just keep playing averaging about $300 a song this will come in no time if you go through all the careers.
Metal Militia
100% a song (4 player band)
This is a hard trophy. I had some mates round and we’re all pretty good at Guitar Hero but we couldn’t get this. It is easier to do on easy than on
beginner, that may seem strange but it’s true because there are less notes. Just keep trying and I’m sure you’ll find some people to do it with online,
Nothing Else Matters
Complete the career in a band (2-4 player band)
This has to be done locally unfortunately, as there’s no online career mode but if you don’t have any friends who like Guitar Hero to come and do it with
you the easiest thing to do is vocals and any other instrument. You will need to make a little mic stand because you can’t hold it but it’s worth the effort.
Green Hell
Drum every green note and finish the song Blood and Thunder with the rock meter in green
Not too sure why this is a silver because it’s easier than some of the bronze but anyway. If you do this on medium there is one part near the end of the
song with 2 little rolls on the green drum. They’re easy to hit and it’s the only part of the song with green notes in. Then you just need to stay in green
which isn’t too difficult on medium.
Creeping Death
Score 575,000 on the song Creeping Death as the guitarist
And now we come to the set of 6 trophies that I’m afraid I won’t get all of. They are incredibly hard, you have to get pretty much 100% on expert and use
your star power wisely. Creeping Death is probably the hardest of the 6 and all I can say is good luck.
Dyer’s Eve
Score 450,000 on the song Dyer’s Eve as the drummer
Again this is ridiculously hard and at the time of writing this no-one has this trophy yet and it will take a great player to change that. You can get more
points on expert+ but I think this can be done on expert but it will need 100% or just the odd missed note and good use of star power to get it. EDIT: This
can be done on Medium but it would have to be effectively 100%.
Fight Fire With Fire
Score 340,000 on the song Fight Fire with Fire as the bassist
For those of you who had Guitar Hero World Tour this is a lot like B.Y.O.B. on expert bass and you have to pretty much 100% it again like the others. For
those who didn’t have GHWT this is insanely fast strumming with a lot of open strums. Good luck again my friends and I admire anyone who can get this. EDIT:
This one definitely has to be on expert. There is a video on youtube of someone 100%ing it on hard and he only gets about 290,000.
Stone Cold Crazy
Score 65,000 on the song Stone Cold Crazy as the vocalist
This may not sound like a lot but believe me it is. It is a short song and you don’t get many points on vocals anyway, this is another practically 100% job
and it is seriously fast singing with a few high bits thrown in to make it even harder. EDIT: Can be done on Medium (apparently) but I’m skeptical.
Enter Sandman
Score 330,000 on the song Enter Sandman on guitar
This is slightly more achieveable than the others but still really hard. My record is 326k so I am extremely annoyed at it. I figured out that coming out of
the solo you need about 210k and then 100% for the rest of the song.
Battery
Score 1,000,000 on the song Battery as a band (4 players)
If you have 4 good players this can be done with hard guitar, hard bass, medium drums and beginner vocals. This trophy is actually pretty easy as long as you
can find some decent players to do it with. We got 980k using the above method the first time and then 1.1 million the second time so it’s pretty easy. Oh
and it’s a good idea to use the trick of putting something next to the mic which makes a noise for the beginner vocals because you will get 100% and is good
for building a band note streak.

Holier Than Thou
Complete all instrument careers
This isn’t as hard as the silver trophies on this game but that’s just the way it goes. It doesn’t matter which order you do them in or what difficulty
you so them on as long as you finish The Thing That Should Not Be on guitar, bass, drums and vocals careers you will get this trophy.

Platinum Artist
Earn all of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies in Guitar Hero Metallica
No trophies in this game are particularly time consuming and none are too difficult apart from the 6 song-specific silver trophies at the bottom of the
list. And they’re not just hard, they are practically impossible. If you are lucky enough to be good enough to get any of these trophies then odds are that
you won’t be as good at the other instruments. Someone good enough on drums to get Dyer’s Eve surely can’t be good enough on vocals to get Stone Cold Crazy
but I hope to be proved wrong.

This is slightly more achievable than the others but still really hard.

If you have 4 good players this can be done with hard guitar, hard bass, medium drums and beginner vocals. This trophy is actually pretty easy as long as you can find some decent players to do it with.

Complete all instrument careers
This isn’t as hard as the silver trophies on this game but that’s just the way it goes. It doesn’t matter which order you do them in or what difficulty you so them on as long as you finish The Thing That Should Not Be on guitar, bass, drums and vocals careers you will get this trophy.

Earn all of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies in Guitar Hero Metallica
